I have found a new addiction the last couple of months. Freezer Meals! I love them! Not only does it save me money every month but it also saves me time and stress. No longer do I need to worry about whipping up dinner at the last minute or what we are going to have every night. I dont have to run to the grocery store every week! Its such a big lift off my shoulders and gives me extra time with my family. Plus they are really good too! This month I have about 18 frozen meals so far and that usually last my little family of 3 for a good part of the month. We love leftovers in this house :)
Here is a list of whats in there so far...
-2 bags of spaghetti sauce
-1 bag of sloppy joe mix
-2 beef enchilada pans
-1 bag of lemon chicken
-1 ham steak w/pinapple glaze
-2 bags containing 8 each chicken rice wraps
-1 stuffed shells casserole
-2 tator tot casserole
-4 pinapple burgers
-1 chicken enchiladas
-1 mexican lasagna
-2 bags of vegetable beef stew
-4 bags of meatballs
Plus sides such as onion rings, roasted potatoes, frozen veggies, toast, waffles, etc.
So far this month I have spent a total of $150 on my freezer meals which cust my monthly cost of groceries in half. I also shop at fred meyers with coupons and hit up their specials so I can save money on gas. With gas being almost $4 a gallon, its nice to save 10cents every time I go to the pump.
